Below are some slides of Arthur Pullin’s early
caravanning holidays in the 1950’s.
“Joker 2” was originally painted pale blue and is the caravan being
towed by the Vanguard Spacemaster.I have included some slides of
the original caravan named “The Joker”, also being towed by Arthur’s
Vanguard Spacemaster.
Arthur Pullin started caravanning with “The Joker” in 1940 and used
the caravan until “Joker II” was completed in 1957.
The slides give a good insight into various shapes of old
caravans & the cars used to tow them.
